To me, we are severely under-utilizing our mind/brain/body apparatus.

The honing pigeon possesses the ability to sense the Earth's magnetic field, and to orient itself accordingly. It's called Magnetoception. It may exist in humans too!

Instead of developing this and other undiscovered senses, that we may use to better orient ourselves in our struggle for survival, we keep building tools. We build tools so fast that we never stop and use the added level of reach, afforded by the tool, to correspondingly grow our internal capacity.

The 5 senses are only the beginning. We can and must discover new senses, each of which will give us an added lens through which we can interact with the world.
